Delaware Durable Power of Attorney

The Durable Power of Attorney is a document where you authorizing someone to act for you if you are declared incompetent. The powers granted to the person acting on your behalf (known as an “attorney in fact”) will continue in effect even if you become disabled or lack sufficient mental competence to handle your own affairs. Having a Durable Power of Attorney (or a General Power of Attorney) allows you to select the individual who will handle your affairs if you become incompetent.
